Michele Cardelli
I was born in Buggiano (Tuscany). I got my technical high school diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications in Lucca and then studied at the University of Pisa, where I got both my bachelor's and master's degrees in physics. In my master's thesis, under the supervision of Prof Donatella Ciampini and Dott Andrea Camposeo, I experimentally studied the optomechanical effect due to photothermal force in a multilayer membrane coupled with an optical resonator. I obtained my MS in December 2020 with a final mark of 110/110 cum laude. From February 2021, I worked as a temporary research fellow at the University of Pisa for the development of an optical Doppler velocimetry system based on Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF). The setup is specifically designed for diagnosing the plasma emitted by an Hall-effect ion thruster.
