I was born in 1998 in Poggibonsi, Italy. In 2017, I earned my high school diploma from Liceo Scientifico “Alessandro Volta”. I then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics at the University of Siena, graduating in 2021 with a thesis on laser photoionization for the INFN (SPES project), supervised by Prof. Emilio Mariotti. Following my Bachelor's degree, I moved to Pisa to continue my studies with a Master's in Biophysics. I graduated in 2024 with a thesis titled “A quantitative method by super-resolution microscopy to characterize early DNA damage and repair induced by FLASH radiotherapy,” under the supervision of Prof. Francesca Cella Zanacchi and Prof. Simone Capaccioli. This work focused on developing a quantitative method, as outlined in the thesis title, to characterize sites of cellular damage and repair using STORM super-resolution microscopy.
