Martina Moglioni
I was born in Rome in 1996. Still in Rome, I obtained my High School Diploma at Liceo
Scientifico Marcello Malpighi in 2015, and the next year I started studying Physics at the
University of RomaTre. Here I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Physics in September 2019,
with 110/110 cum laude. Then I moved to continue my Physics studies at the University of
Pisa, focusing on Medical Physics, where I obtained my Master’s Degree in Physics in October
2021, with 110/110 cum laude.
My Master thesis, supervised by Prof. Maria Giuseppina Bisogni and Aafke Christine Kraan,
was focused on the detection of morphological changes in patients treated with hadrontherapy
at the Centro Nazionale di Adroterapia Oncologica (CNAO) by analyzing in-beam PET images,
in collaboration with INFN.
My current interests and research still concerns patients treated with hadrontherapy at CNAO.
My PhD research, within the research field promoted by the SYN-CT project, focuses on
applications of Machine Learning techniques and computational methods for the analysis of
PET/CT medical images in order to produce synthetic CT’s for patients.
