I was born in 1995 in Umbertide (PG), where I attended the Liceo Scientifico “Leonardo da Vinci” and obtained my High School Diploma in 2014. Then, I moved to Pisa to study physics at the University of Pisa, where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Physics (2018) and my Master’s Degree in Physics (2021), specialization in Physics of Matter, with the grade 110/110 cum laude.

During my master’s thesis, the title of which was “3D printing of biocompatible and optically active systems” with Prof. Dario Pisignano and Dr. Luana Persano as supervisors, I worked in the laboratories of the Physics Department of the University of Pisa and at the National Enterprise for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (NEST) laboratory in Pisa, where I performed microscopic, spectroscopic and also cell cultures experiments on the samples I realized with a state-of-the-art direct ink writing 3D printer. In fact, while part of my thesis was devoted to the study of the photochromic properties of 3D printed elastomeric samples filled with WO3 nanowires, another part of my work focused on the fabrication of 3D scaffolds for cell cultures applications.

My Ph.D. project, supervised by Prof. Dario Pisignano, is focused on innovation and green-related topics. Particularly, it concerns the sustainable use of materials in 3D printing and deposition techniques for the realization of devices for sustainable energy production and harvesting.
