I was born in 1997 in Pisa, where I attended high school (at Liceo Scientifico Ulisse Dini) and then university. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Physics in 2019 at the University of Pisa; in 2021 I obtained my Master degree in Materials and Nanotechnology both at the University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore. In my master thesis I investigated a novel approach for wrinkle formation in 2D materials (such as graphene and MoS2) based on polymeric micro-actuators.
My research is focused at present on the experimental realization of electromagnetic cavities with embedded two-dimensional materials as active medium. The final goal is the detection of exotic collective states that may manifest in such strongly correlated systems.
