I was born in Ragusa (RG) in 1998. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2020 and my Master’s degree in Bioengineering in 2022 from the University of Padova. In my master thesis, under the supervision of Prof. Morten Gram Pedersen and Dott. Eleonora Grespan, I analyzed Calcium time series data of pancreas islets in response to drugs agonist and antagonist of GLP-1 hormone by using Linear Mixed Effect Models. During my PhD I will study the self-organization and complexity in bio-inspired neural networks. In particular, the activity will focus on the investigation of bio-inspired neural network models, such as spiking neural networks, with different kind of connectivity structures. Moreover, the effect of a learning process on the topological structure of the network will be also investigated.
