Anastasia Kotsovolou
I earned my BSc (NKUA) and MSc (NTUA) degrees in Athens, specializing in experimental nuclear physics. My first project was on environmental radiation, later transitioning to Ion Beam Analysis Techniques. Over seven years at the Tandem Accelerator Laboratory of NCSR “Demokritos,” I gained extensive experience and valuable insights. For my Bachelor's thesis, I conducted a feasibility study of the proton-tagged PIGE analytical method, while during my Master's studies I measured differential cross-sections for the 18O(p,α) reaction. For my Ph.D project under the general topic “New detectors of particles or radiation based on innovative materials”I will focus on Transition Edge Sensors.
