I was born in La Spezia in October 1994. Once I got my scientific High School
Diploma in 2013, I moved to Pisa to study Physics. I got the Bachelor’s degree on the
21st of September 2017. The same year I started the curriculum of Medical Physics. I
got my Master’s degree on the 27th of April 2021.
My master thesis was focused on the characterization and modelling of the Silicon
Photomultipliers (SiPMs) detectors of one of the Time-of-Flight detector component
of the FOOT (FragmentatiOn Of Target) experiment. The experiment aims to
perform cross section measurements of nuclear fragmentation reactions for particle
therapy applications.
My scientific interests comprehend the research in oncological treatments with
ionizing radiations and radiation detectors.
My PhD research is focused on testing new kind of radiation detectors to be used in
FLASH radiotherapy, a new approach for tumours treatment by means of pulsed
electron beams with very high dose rate.
