Benedetta Bertoni
I was born in Pietrasanta in 1997 and graduated from the Liceo Scientifico, Applied Sciences program, in Massa in 2016. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Pisa with a thesis titled “Transparent Nanostructured Metals,” supervised by Prof. Alessandro Tredicucci. I continued my studies in the Physics of Matter curriculum at the same university, completing a Master’s thesis entitled “Surface THz Absorbers for Thermomechanical Microbolometers,” which focused on optimizing a MEMS microresonator-based Terahertz detector, under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Pitanti. After my studies, I joined CNR-Nano (NEST Laboratory, Pisa) as a research fellow, contributing to the ATTRACT H-Cube project. This project aims to develop a Terahertz hyperspectral imaging system based on an array of thermomechanical bolometers with integrated metasurfaces.
