Profili

Andrea Giorgieri

Laurea: Pisa (2023)
Supervisore: Prof. Massimo D'Elia
Stanza: 169 Ed. C

I was born in Pisa in 1998. There, at Liceo Scientifico U. Dini, I got the High School diploma in 2017. At the University of Pisa, I obtained the Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2020 and then pursued the Theoretical Physics curriculum, earning my Master's degree in 2023. In my Master thesis, supervised by Prof. Massimo D'Elia and concerning numerical simulations of QCD using Monte Carlo methods, I studied the effects of topology on running coupling measurements in the pure gauge theory. My research will focus on Lattice QCD and its numerical simulation, in particular on the development of more efficient algorithms.
